User Groups

 
 
  • Christchurch .Net User Group
    The Christchurch .Net User Group meets monthly (currently 1st Wednesdays) in the early evening. Meetings take the form of a presentation by a group member or a touring speaker. Subjects range from specific .Net technologies to more general programming issues. The Christchurch DNUG is part of the larger NZ .Net group, which in turn is part of the International .Net Association - Ineta.
 
  • Christchurch SharePoint User Group
    The Christchurch SharePoint User Group meets monthly (currently last Tuesdays) in the early evening at Cii, 200 Armagh Street. The aim is to provide a friendly environment, events and tools for sharing knowledge on the implementation, development, and use of WSS and MOSS. Our interests range from the highly technical aspects of SharePoint, to the wider business considerations of implementing a SharePoint solution. Our members include those who are learning/adopting SharePoint for the first time, as well as those who have been using SharePoint or similar technologies for many years.
 
  • Canterbury Linux Users Group (CLUG)
    The Canterbury Linux Users Group is a group of enthusiasts and professionals whose aim is to promote Linux and other Free/Open software use in Canterbury, and to offer support to the Free/Open software community in Canterbury and further afield. The primary method of communication and support is the mailing list (refer to the web site for details), but they also hold regular meetings, installfests and other ad-hoc events. Users and prospective users of Linux and Free/Open software of all ages and experience are welcome to join the community by joining the mailing list.

  • Dept of Accountancy, Finance and Info Systems, University of Canterbury
    Information Systems at the University of Canterbury is part of the Department of Accountancy, Finance and Information Systems. Seminars, typically with a research bent, are held on an occasional basis throughout the year. They usually last about one hour, and visitors from beyond the University are welcome to attend any seminar.

    Canterbury Software Inc Canterbury Software Inc (CSI) is a non-profit organisation aimed at helping the Canterbury software sector succeed at home and worldwide. This cluster of small-to-medium Canterbury and other South Island companies works to facilitate strong foundations for commercial success in world-class software products and services, and establish national and international business relationships.
 
  • TUANZ (Telecommunications Users Association of New Zealand)
    TUANZ is a non-profit organisation that represents business telecommunications interests and is committed to ensuring that New Zealand develops a competitive and innovative telecommunications market. TUANZ regularly organises events in Christchurch.
