The Society has a number of membership classes both Professional (Associate Members, Members and Fellows) and non-Professional (Affiliates, Students and Graduates). The highest grade of membership is the NZCS Fellow (FNZCS).
Fellow status is only achieved by those that hold a position of eminence or authority within the discipline of Information Technology.
A rigorous application process and stringent suitability requirements, including the approval of two thirds of the Society's existing Fellows, ensures that only those at the top of their field and that have significantly contributed to IT in NZ achieve this status.
The Society's Fellows represent a unique base of knowledge and skills that underpin all aspects of the Society and help ensure that we maintain our status as the society of IT Professionals.
