We work with each of the organisations on this page in one way or another to achieve our goals and those of our members.

Association of Local Government Information Management (ALGIM)
ALGIM represents the interests of Council IT to central government and the industry as a whole.

The Canterbury Software Cluster is a not-for-profit organisation that helps small-to-medium software and IT services companies take great code to new heights.

Employers and Manufacturer's Association (EMA)
EMA is in the information business. Their aim is to keep their members well informed about issues affecting them.

InternetNZ (INZ)
InternetNZ works to keep the Internet open and uncaptureable, protecting and promoting the Internet for New Zealand. They also manage the .nz domain name system through the Domain Name Commission.

Institution of Professional Engineers New Zealand (IPENZ)
IPENZ is the professional body which represents professional engineers from all disciplines in New Zealand.

National Advisory Committee of Computer Qualifications (NACCQ)
NACCQ aim to work hand in hand with industry to develop and deliver current marketable qualifications that are industry focussed and to ensure that students are work ready when they graduate.

Project Management Institute of New Zealand (PMINZ)
PMINZ was established in 1994, as a chapter of the Project Management Institute to encourage the development of professionalism in Project Management within New Zealand.

Royal Society of New Zealand (RSNZ)
The Royal Society of New Zealand is an independent, national academy of sciences, a federation of some 60 scientific and technological societies, and individual members.

Technical Communicators Association of New Zealand Inc (TCANZ)
The association was formally established in Auckland in 1997. The NZTWA was renamed TCANZ in August 2002 to reflect the broader role performed by technical communicators.

Telecommunications Users Association of New Zealand (TUANZ)
Formed in 1986, TUANZ is the non-profit organisation that represents business telecommunications interests and is committed to ensuring that New Zealand develops a competitive and innovative telecommunications market.

Started in July 2002, with the purpose to support and enable women in technology, to reach their career and personal goals.

Association for Computing Machinery (ACM)
Founded in 1947, ACM is a major force in advancing the skills of information technology professionals and students worldwide.

Australian Computer Society (ACS)
ACS is a recognised association for ICT professionals, attracting a large and active membership of over 16,000 from all levels of the ICT industry.

British Computer Society (BCS)
With over 44,000 members and growing fast, the British Computer Society is the only Chartered Engineering Institution for Information Systems Engineering.

Canadian Information Processing Society (CIPS)
Founded in 1958, the Canadian Information Processing Society represents more than 8,000 Information Technology (IT) professionals in major cities across Canada.

Centre of the International Cooperation for Computerization (CICC)
CICC was established in June 1983 to cooperate and assist developing countries in the introduction of computers and information technology.

Hong Kong Computer Society (HKCS)
HKCS was founded in 1970 as a non-profit making professional body with the primary objective to promote the uses of information technology in Hong Kong.

IEEE Computer Society (IEEE CS)
With nearly 100,000 members, the IEEE Computer Society is the world's leading organisation of computer professionals.

International Federation for Information Processors (IFIP)
IFIP is the premier umbrella organisation of computer and ICT professional societies worldwide. With the exception of USA (where IEEE CS and ACM are members) only one professional organisation in each country may join. The New Zealand Computer Society (NZCS) are the NZ representatives.

Indian Computer Society (ICS)
Established in 1965 with less than 50 like minded professionals as a computer user group. It has grown to 18,000 members in a span of four decades.

Malaysia Computer Society (MCS)
Sabah Computer Society has been in existence since 1979, when it was first officially registered with the Registrar of Societies.

Pakistan Computer Society (PCS)
Established in 1973 to promote the use of computers, increase general awareness among the public and to look after the professional interests of the IT personnel in Pakistan.

Philippines Computer Society (PCS)
The Society is a national organisation governed by a National Board of Directors.

Singapore Computer Society (SCS)
Established in 1967 they have a Membership of over 12,000. The Singapore Computer Society is the largest IT professional body in Singapore

South East Asia Regional Computer Confederation (SEARCC)
The concept of a regional computer confederation grew out of the first regional computer conference held in Singapore in September 1976 under the auspices of the International Federation for Information Processing and implemented by the Singapore Computer Society.

South Pacific Computer Society (SPACS)
Started in 1995, with the purpose to contribute to bridge the digital divide in Fiji and the neighbouring South Pacific region, the South Pacific Computer Society (SPACS) is a non-profit organisation of professional IT personnel from across Fiji and the South Pacific region.

Sri Lanka Computer Society (SLCS)
