TPN: Get Ready for Web Application Security Testing

16 February 2010: 5:00pm - 7:00pm

The Auckland Room
The Auckland Club
34 Shortland Street
Auckland

NZCS Test Professionals Network (Auckland) presents:

Get Ready for Web Application Security Testing with Alan Kan.

Traditionally, penetration testing and ethical hacking are topics for security professionals.  These were normally done after software testing was completed.  As web applications become more popular target for hackers, some organisations are starting to include security testing in the test cycle rather than treating it as an afterthought.  This has shifted the responsibility of security testing to testing professionals.

In this session, Alan will provide you an overview of the security landscape, introduce some of the most exploited vulnerabilities, how to test for them, and how you can get ready for web application security testing

We would be grateful if you could please forward this invite to others who may be interested in the event.
