NZCS are proud to invite you to the:

KiwiSkills Launch Event

Join NZCS Chief Executive Paul Matthews and members of the NZCS management team, KnowledgeWeaversNZ Principle Beverley Bunker, Opp Spokesperson on Small Business and Manukau East MP Hon Ross Robertson, Microsoft NZ CEO Kevin Ackhurst and others as we outline and launch the major new NZCS digital literacy programme, KiwiSkills.

A recent research report completed by KnowledgeWeaversNZ and commissioned by NZCS found that New Zealand is losing at least $1.7 BILLION every year in lost productivity by not tackling ICT competence in the workplace.

The report also found that Digital Literacy is now "an essential life skill and the right of every NZ citizen".

That's all well and good, but what can YOU do about it? How can you help New Zealand tackle this issue, and what options are available for you and your colleagues or clients?

There are a number of excellent programmes throughout New Zealand targeted at those with little or no computing skills, however very little focusing on the vast majority of technology users that have basic skills, and it is these people that benefit the most from improved digital literacy.

4 LayersIntroducing: KiwiSkills

KiwiSkills is a multi-pronged programme designed from the ground up to tackle digital literacy in New Zealand.

KiwiSkills focuses on removing the barriers to upskilling staff and the community, including introducing a series of benchmarks, internationally-recognised standards that kiwis can aspire to, providing quick and easy access to the training, testing and support programmes available throughout New Zealand, plus engaging businesses and the community to work together on dealing with this once and for all.

You're Invited!

NZCS invites you to the launch of the KiwiSkills Programme in Auckland next Thursday, 6th May. This will be an excellent opportunity to find out more about KiwiSkills, and look at how you can get involved to make a difference in New Zealand.

Join NZCS Chief Executive Paul Matthews and members of the NZCS management team, KnowledgeWeaversNZ Principle Researcher Beverley Bunker, Opp Spokesperson on Small Business and Manukau East MP Hon Ross Robertson, Microsoft NZ CEO Kevin Ackhurst and others as we outline and launch the KiwiSkills Programme.
