Stuart Wakefield, Director of the Office of the Government CIO, will share with us his view of the potential opportunity presented by Cloud Computing. He'll outline how it can enable the public sector to transform its business processes, lower its operating costs, and allow greater mobility for the public sector workforce.
This presentation is recommended for everyone interested in effective and efficient New Zealand government.

About The Speaker
Stuart Wakefield has many years experience in corporate and government organisations, across a broad range of sectors, including primary industry, finance, postal, energy and health, in roles that have a common thread of enabling organisational strategy through the effective use of ICT.
Prior to joining DIA, Stuart led a change programme across Central Region DHB's to consolidate core systems and standardise business processes to drive back-office efficiency and enable sharing of clinical records across organisational boundaries.
In his current role Stuart leads the implementation of "Directions and Priorities" for Government's use of ICT, which are detailed on the GCIO website at www.ict.govt.nz.
