Legal Aspects of Cloud Computing

27 August 2009: 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

Spectrum Theatre (Previously BP Theatrette - accessed from Johnston Street)
BP House, 20 Customhouse Quay
Wellington

Cloud Computing - we are hearing a lot about it lately and there are many views on it.  But like anything new it raises fresh legal and privacy issues and those looking at Cloud Computing solutions as an alternative to the traditional ways of delivering IT services need to be aware of these issues and the impact they could have.

Includes light lunch

About The Speaker

Michael Wigley is a well known legal buff and is one of the few New Zealand lawyers who specialises in technology, IT and telecommunications. Allied with that background is extensive involvement in providing opinions and advice on complex legal issues, often with heavy technical, commercial and strategic components.   Michael has a particular involvement in procurement issues acting for vendors and purchasers, within and outside the public sector.  He is closely involved in telecommunications regulatory work.
